CrossCountry

CrossCountry's network centres around Birmingham, stretching from the far South West of England to the North East of Scotland.

Long-distance train services operate from Penzance, Plymouth, Exeter and Bristol via Cheltenham to Birmingham, with trains alternately serving Edinburgh via Derby, Sheffield, Leeds, Doncaster, York, Darlington and Newcastle and Manchester via Wolverhampton, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent and Stockport. Some Edinburgh services continue to Glasgow or Dundee and Aberdeen, making them the longest distance passenger services in the UK.

First Class Benefits

Both Standard and First Class is available on every CrossCountry train. First Class travellers enjoy larger reclining seats, larger tables and complimentary food and drink on many services. Onboard upgrades to First Class are often available at weekends.
