Chiltern Railways

Chiltern Railways operates two routes from London's Marylebone terminus, both of which carve through the Chilterns - hence the company's name.

Services & Routes

Trains on the first Chiltern Railways route depart every 30 minutes for Birmingham (both Moor Street and Snow Hill stations) via Banbury, Leamington Spa, Warwick and Solihull; during peak hours, some continue to Stourbridge and Kidderminster. The route also includes local services to Beaconsfield, High Wycombe and Princes Risborough.

The second route runs every 30 minutes to Aylesbury via Chorleywood, Rickmansworth and Amersham, with a shuttle service linking Aylesbury with Princes Risborough.

Facilities Onboard Chiltern Railways Trains

For business travellers, the Chiltern Mainline service (between London & Birmingham) offers many benefits including large tables, and the widest seats with the greatest legroom available on any Birmingham-London train. WiFi is available for free in the Business Zone of all Mainline trains, and at-seat sockets ensure you won't run out of power while you work.

A trolley service is available on the longer distance services to Birmingham, and at-seat catering is available in the Business Zone.

Chiltern Railways' services are all Standard Class and there is no First Class accommodation, although you can upgrade to the Business Zone on board Mainline trains. Quiet zones can be reserved as part of the ticket booking process.

Chiltern Railways is building a new line to Oxford, due to open in 2013.
