1) Can I pay for my train tickets on credit?
If your annual rail expenditure exceeds £10,000, you may be elgible for a Premier Business Account. All applications are subject to approval by Assertis Rail and Barclaycard.
2) How much support will you provide?
We provide a free training & support manual for all business accounts; on-site training is available at cost, and your business may be eligible for account management support. For either of these options, please enquire at business@assertis.co.uk or phone us on 0203 207 9663.
3) How long does it take to set up an account?
Providing the application is successful and the company has passed all due diligence checks, most accounts can be live within 5 business days. Premier business account applications require up to 14 business days from Barclaycard's receipt of additional credit application information.
4) What are the financial benefits?
You will save time & money across the business through simple reporting, controlled expenditure, a streamlined booking system and reduced employee expense administration. Assertis Rail always shows the cheapest tickets first - making it easy to see where savings can be made.

6) How can I control my employees' expenditure?
To ensure your travel policy is adhered to, user profile settings allow you to limit maximum ticket price & daily spend, as well as the ability to buy First as well as Standard Class tickets.
7) Is there a minimum operating term?
There is no minimum operating term for standard business accounts. Travel management companies and premier business account holders' minimum term will be addressed during contract negotiation.
8) What will it cost?
A booking fee is charged for each transaction, and credit card fees apply. There is no card fee for debit cards.
9) What Management Information is available?
Standard business account reports list full transaction details including cost centre, traveller name, payment method and savings achieved. Premier business account holders have access to fully reconciled journal entries in addition to standard reporting.
10) Can I get refunds on train tickets?
Yes, you can – however, different tickets carry different refund and amendment conditions and there may be costs attached. These are explained clearly in the Training & Support manual or on our train ticket types page.
11) Can I buy tickets for someone else?
Absolutely. You can buy tickets for any other person and enter their name as part of the purchase process, to keep track of traveller activity and spend.
12) How will the tickets be delivered?
Tickets can be collected free of charge from any station with a self-service ticket collection machine; Assertis Rail can also send tickets to any address via First Class Post or Next Day Special Delivery (costs apply). 13) What is PLUSBUS?
PLUSBUS allows unlimited travel on buses and tram services in almost 300 UK towns and cities, from only £2; PLUSBUS tickets can only be bought with train tickets. View PLUSBUS towns and cities on a UK map.
