Greater Anglia (formerly National Express East Anglia)

Greater Anglia operates trains across East Anglia, serving Colchester, Clacton, Ipswich, Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Cambridge, Stansted Airport and Bishops Stortford from London's Liverpool Street station.

Services and Routes

Services from London Liverpool Street run to Norwich every 30 minutes throughout the day, with all trains calling at Ipswich (the vast majority also stop at Colchester). Intermediate stations at Diss, Stowmarket, Manningtree, Chelmsford, Shenfield and Stratford International are served frequently by these Norwich to London services.

Services from London Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport run every 15 minutes calling at Bishops Stortford and Tottenham Hale (for connections to the Victoria London Underground line). There's also an hourly service from Stratford International to Stansted Airport.

Clacton and Walton-on-the-Naze are served by frequent trains from London that run via Chelmsford and Colchester; Southend Victoria is also served by trains every 20 minutes running via Billericay and Romford.

Many other suburban services are operated by Greater Anglia from London Liverpool Street, as well as branch line services throughout Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, to Cromer, Sheringham, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Sudbury, Braintree, Harwich Town, and Felixstowe. There's also an hourly Cambridge - Norwich service via Wymondham, Thetford and Ely, and frequent services from Peterborough and Cambridge to Ipswich via Bury St Edmunds.

Quiet Zone & First Class

All London to Norwich services have a coach in Standard Class (usually Coach B) and a coach in First Class (usually Coach H) designated as the quiet zone. This coach is somewhere to relax - mobile phone usage is banned and electrical equipment must be used silent mode. Make sure you select First Class and/or 'quiet coach' options when making your train booking.
