London Business Travel

The majority of top business train journeys begin or end with London. Significant discounts (up to 80%) may be available if you buy Advance tickets online, rather than buying at the station on the day of travel.

When booking business travel, it's simple to get around London's transport network quickly and simply if you purchase a Travelcard with your ticket on assertis. A London Travelcard allows unlimited travel on buses, National Rail, London Overground, London Underground, Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and Tramlink; the cost of a Travelcard depends on the number of zones you are looking to travel within. See map for more details.

Two types of London Travelcards are available; Off-Peak (valid after 09.30 Monday to Friday; all day on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) and Anytime (no travel time restrictions). For travel on all train, underground, DLR (Docklands Light Railway), Tramlink and bus services within the zones of validity (for bus travel, they're valid throughout the Greater London Area).

How to Buy a London Travelcard with assertis

If you're travelling into London, you may be able to buy a train ticket with an integrated Travelcard. If it's available with your ticket, it will appear in the journey planner as 'London All Zones Travelcard'. Select this, rather than the station you'll be arriving at (eg. London St Pancras). You can travel into any London station and travel around the capital as you wish, on your day of travel.

Otherwise, you can buy your Travelcard on the 'Travel Options' page of the booking system.

London Travelcard Prices

London Travelcard prices start from £7.00 for a Zones 1 & 2 Off-peak Travelcard (£7.70 for Zones 1-4 and £8.50 for a 'Zones 1 to 6' Off-peak Travelcard), and can be purchased as an add-on to many rail tickets.

If you're starting your journey from within the Network South East area (see Network Railcard map), you'll often be able to get a Travelcard included within the train ticket, for a much better price than buying it separately.

National Railcard discounts also apply to Travelcards.

London Travelcard Zones

The six Zones of London cover an enormous area stretching from Heathrow Airport in the west to Upminster in the east, from Enfield in the north to Croydon in the south - a Zones 1-6 Travelcard is valid for unlimited journeys by train, underground, bus, DLR and Tramlink throughout this area.
