London Midland

London Midland train services cover the heart of England, from London to Liverpool via Birmingham.

Services and Routes

London Midland runs two long-distance train services - one from London Euston to Birmingham New Street via Watford Junction, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Rugby, Coventry and Birmingham International; the other from Birmingham New Street to Liverpool Lime Street, via Wolverhampton, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Crewe, Runcorn and Liverpool South Parkway (for Liverpool John Lennon Airport).

In September 2011, the number of trains on the Birmingham to London Euston route was trebled, with journey times reduced by up to 20 minutes, following the announcement of an 80% increase in customers on the route during the previous 12 months. Trains on the Birmingham and Coventry to London Euston route now run every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday, with a new hourly Sunday service.

London Midland also operates local services in the West Midlands, linking Birmingham with Worcester, Hereford, Shrewsbury, Stratford-on-Avon, Walsall, Rugeley, Lichfield, Leamington Spa, Solihull, Stourbridge, Kidderminster and Redditch; and operates local services from London Euston to Northampton, Bedford to Bletchley and Watford to St Albans.

London Midland offers First Class travel on the following routes from Northampton - London Euston, Birmingham New Street to Liverpool Lime Street and Birmingham New Street to Northampton. So for extra leg room and a smaller, private compartment to work or relax in, remember to select First Class when booking train tickets.
